June 30, 2021, marked the debut of Xiaomi's Mi Notebook Pro X, a laptop that promises top-class equipment at a relatively affordable price. However, Kenyan customers are left wondering if they will be able to get their hands on this impressive device.
The Mi Notebook Pro X is part of Xiaomi's diverse product lineup, which includes smartphones, e-scooters, fitness trackers, and even kitchenware. This latest notebook features an OLED display with a 15.6-inch diagonal and a resolution of 3,456 x 2,160 pixels, making it an attractive option for photographers and graphics designers.
According to Android Authority, the laptop's display covers 100% of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color space, and is protected by Gorilla Glass.
The Mi Notebook Pro X is powered by Intel's Tiger Lake generation processors, with options for the Core i7-11370H and Core i5-11300H. The i7 model comes with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, while the i5 model has 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. The laptop also features an Nvidia RTX 3050Ti, a USB-C port, a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-A slots, an HDMI 2.1 port, WLAN 6, and Bluetooth 5.2.
The speakers on the Mi Notebook Pro X support DTS audio and have been fine-tuned by Harman. The laptop's 80-watt battery is designed to provide long-lasting power.
While the Mi Notebook Pro X is set to be available in China from July 9, with prices starting at around KES 133,004 for the i5 model and going up to 166,255 KSH for the i7 variant, it remains to be seen if Xiaomi will launch the laptop in other markets, including Kenya.
