On June 30, 2021, Diamond Platnumz, the CEO of WCB, was in the United States, where he had just graced the BET Awards gala at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with actress Taraji P. Henson as the host.

During his time in the US, Platnumz linked up with legendary rapper Busta Rhymes for a studio session at a recording studio owned by Swizz Beatz, a member of the famous Ruff Ryders.

Busta Rhymes was impressed by Platnumz's talent, terming him the 'African Michael Jackson'.

"Let me Zoom in to the Michael Jackson, African One, Diamond Platnumz lets be clear, he is danger for real," Busta Rhymes said.

Platnumz had previously collaborated with Swizz Beatz on Alicia Keys' album 'ALICIA', on a song dubbed 'Wasted Energy'. Although Platnumz was only allocated 26 seconds in the song, fans were still impressed by his contribution.

Swizz Beatz defended Alicia Keys, saying, "My Brother 4 life. Please let your fans know you did as you pleased on the rec and this is just part 1."

Platnumz replied, "OOOH yes!! more Bombs coming."

Despite the limited time he was featured in the song, 'Wasted Energy' received a lot of attention from fans on YouTube, with over 2.3 million views.
