On June 30, 2021, HP unveiled its latest ultraportable laptop, the Pavilion AERO 13, which boasts the title of being the lightest laptop in the 13-inch format and the most affordable OLED option available.
The AERO 13 weighs a mere 987 grams, making it the lightest computer designed by HP. The laptop's chassis is made entirely of aluminum and magnesium alloy, which not only reduces its weight but also guarantees better durability.
HP has prioritized eco-friendliness with the AERO 13, incorporating recycled plastics, water-based paint that minimizes volatile organic compounds, and recyclable packaging from sustainable sources.
The laptop features a 13.3-inch OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 2.5K definition, offering a maximum brightness of 400 cd/m² and 100% sRGB coverage.
The Pavilion AERO 13 is powered by AMD 5000 series processors, up to the Ryzen 7 5800U, and comes with 8 GB of RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. It is compatible with Windows 11 and will be upgraded to this new version later in 2021.
The laptop also features Wi-Fi 6 and boasts an average battery life of up to 10.5 hours.
The Pavilion AERO 13 is set to launch in July 2021 in the United States with a starting price of KES 80,817. However, its availability and price for the Kenyan market are yet to be announced.
