On June 30, 2021, musician Willy Paul announced plans to release a new song, 'Kamata', to take revenge on WCB President Diamond Platnumz.
The singer accused Diamond of copying his hit song 'Nikune', which he released last year featuring Nadia Mukami.
Willy Paul took to his Instagram, posting a poster for his new song with a similar title to Diamond's 'Kamata', and captioned it with a bold message.

According to Willy Paul, Diamond copied the concept of 'Nikune' and used it in 'Kamata', which carries a sensual theme and features instructions on how to dance.
Netizens encouraged Willy Paul to release a better version of the song compared to Diamond's Version.
‘Kamata’ by Diamond Platnumz is currently trending at number ten on YouTube Kenya with over a million views.
