Kenyan Business Feed has learned that suspended Magistrate Therry Nyangena is struggling to cope with her financial woes and depression, which has left her feeling hopeless.

According to sources, Nyangena is unable to pay her loans, and her situation has become so dire that her colleagues have secretly organized a funds drive to help her.

The magistrate's suspension, which was carried out by then Acting Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu, has been a source of concern for many in the judicial community.

As reported by Kenyan Business Feed, Nyangena's colleagues are urging the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) to expedite her case, citing the potential consequences of further delay.

It is worth noting that Nyangena's situation is not an isolated incident. Many judicial officers have been suspended and interdicted in the past, leading to a petition filed by the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA) challenging the powers of the Chief Justice to do so.

As the KMJA memorandum highlighted, the lack of security of tenure for judicial officers leaves them vulnerable to exploitation and terrorization by their employer.
