On June 29, 2021, Vivo Smartphones Kenya announced the availability of the Vivo V21 in the Kenyan market. This new device is a follow-up to the V20 and brings several exciting features that the company hopes will attract more Kenyans to the brand.
The Vivo V21 boasts an Optical Stabilization (OIS) front camera, which is housed within one of the industry's thinnest smartphone designs. This 44MP selfie camera combines features such as AI Night portrait, Super Night Mode, Advanced Autofocus, and a stable 4K video to equip users with the best-in-class tools for the ultimate modern mobile lifestyle.
At the back, the Vivo V21 has a 64MP OIS rear camera, supported by a set of secondary cameras including an 8MP wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro camera. The company says the software is built to help creatives use features such as a dual-view option that records videos from both front and back cameras of the smartphone.
The Vivo V21 is available both online and offline in Kenya, priced at KES. 41,999 for the 8GB RAM model coupled with up to 128GB of onboard storage. The device is powered by the MTK Dimensity 800U processor and comes with a 33W Flash Charger that allows users to power up a 4000 mAh battery in no time.

According to James Irungu, Vivo Kenya Brand and Communications Manager, the company developed the V21 lineup based on customer insights. "We developed our V21 lineup based on our insights into what our customers value the most in their phones. This OIS front camera marks a radical step in setting the standard for future smartphone front cameras," he said.
