Evalyn Ikandi Mwende's Plea to President Uhuru Kenyatta Over Child Support

On June 28, 2021, Evalyn Ikandi Mwende, a woman from Mombasa, took to her Facebook page to express her frustration and desperation over the alleged neglect of her twins, Fadhili Jomo and Ahadi Maria, by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ikandi Mwende claimed that she had a relationship with President Kenyatta and that the twins were his children. She alleged that despite her efforts to meet with the President to discuss the welfare of their children, she had been unsuccessful.

Ikandi Mwende stated that she had been forced to seek the intervention of the courts to ensure that the President takes responsibility for their children. She also claimed that she had been subjected to harassment and intimidation by people affiliated with the President.

Ikandi Mwende's Facebook post, which has gone viral, contains a series of emotional and desperate pleas to the President to acknowledge his responsibility towards their children. She wrote, 'Mr President, Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, at the coast this weekend. Please address this issue before you go back to your station in Nairobi. Do you recognise that these two children, Fadhili Jomo and Ahadi Maria came into this world via you? Sir, am tired of being followed around by people affiliated with you. My life has been hanging.'

Ikandi Mwende also expressed her frustration over the fact that she had been unable to provide for her children's basic needs, including education and housing. She wrote, 'I thought at least you should pay rent for the house they live in. But whenever I bring you up as the one supposed to help pay the rent, being kicked out of the house.'

Ikandi Mwende's plea to the President has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many people expressing their support for her and calling on the President to take responsibility for his children.
