On June 27, 2021, President Uhuru Kenyatta officially closed the WRC Safari Rally in Naivasha, marking the end of a grueling and demanding rally that brought Kenya to the forefront as a premier sports event host.
The rally, which started at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) and concluded in Naivasha, featured a series of challenging stages that pushed drivers and their vehicles to the limit.
President Kenyatta awarded the top three finishers with trophies, recognizing their outstanding performance and dedication to the sport.
Notably, the President also announced that the WRC Safari Rally will remain in the World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar for the next five years, cementing Kenya's position as a key player in the global motorsport scene.
