On June 27, 2021, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) announced its relocation from the Hill Park Building Headquarters to Ngong Road, Nairobi. The new headquarters is located at the 316 Upper Hill Chambers, along 2nd Ngong Avenue.
The authority had initially planned to begin operations at the new office on June 1, 2021, but the move was delayed. The new office will be situated on the Ground Floor, 8th and 9th Floor of the 316 Upper Hill Chambers.
The 316 Upper Hill Chambers is a 104-metre, 26-storey tower roughly 2km from Nairobi's Central Business District. The building, owned by Upper Hill Chambers Ltd, comprises three basement parking floors, a ground floor, and a mezzanine, as well as five upper parking floors and 15 Grade A office floors.
NTSA is the body authorized to regulate the road transport sector in Kenya. Its services include certifying driving instructors, licensing driving schools, issuing driving licenses, PSV licenses, car inspections, and applications for speed governors.
