On June 27, 2021, Kenyan drivers Onkar Rai, Karan Patel, and Carl 'Flash' Tundo made history by scoring World Rally Championship (WRC) points in the Safari Rally.
The trio, competing in the WRC3 class, showcased their driving skills, with Onkar Rai dedicating his maiden win to his elder brother Tejveer Rai, who was recuperating in hospital after a crash on Friday in Kedong.
Onkar Rai finished 7th overall, followed closely by Karan Patel in 8th place, while Carl 'Flash' Tundo, a five-time Safari Rally winner, secured 9th position.
Frenchman Sebastian Ogier of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Team took the top spot in the rally.
