On June 27, 2021, Telkom Kenya announced a new offer for its customers, dubbed Madaraka Life. This lifetime suggestion provides 1GB of mobile internet data and 100 minutes of talk time to make Telkom-to-Telkom calls, for free, every month.
Additionally, customers enrolled in Madaraka Life will receive an instant cashback of Ksh50 to their mobile wallet through T-kash, Telkom's mobile money service. To access the offer, customers should dial 44458#.
According to Telkom's Chief Executive Officer, Mr Mugo Kibati, the company aims to provide digital independence to Kenyans by giving them access to crucial technology services that simplify their lifestyles. He also mentioned that Telkom is proceeding with its long-term terrestrial network expansion plan, which will see the company scale up to 80 percent of its network to 4G and increase its network footprint across the country.
As part of its efforts to expand its services, Telkom has integrated T-kash with the government digital services platform, eCitizen. This integration enables Telkom consumers to make payments for various services, including those provided by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), Directorate of Criminal Investigations, and other government agencies.
