On June 26, 2021, American rapper and entrepreneur P. Diddy hosted the 2021 Nigerian Grammy Award winner Burna Boy at his home in the US, sparking rife speculations on a possible collaboration.

The visit was revealed in a video shared by Diddy on his social media pages, which has since gone viral.

According to the video, Burna Boy met Diddy at the entrance of his home, and the two shared a brotherly embrace as he was ushered to the expansive residence.

This is not the first time Diddy has shown allegiance to Burna Boy, as they had openly engaged on Instagram before Burna Boy won the Grammy, with Diddy offering his advice on maintaining a grip on the entertainment industry.

Burna Boy rose to prominence in 2012 with the release of his single 'Like To Party', fusing traditional sounds with urban ones to create a unique contemporary afro sound.

He is one of the biggest African stars, with a BET Award in 2019 for Best International Act and an album 'African Giant' voted album of the year at the All Africa Music Awards in the same year.

His album 'Twice As Tall' got a nomination for Best World Music Album in 2020, which he won at the 63rd Annual Grammy Award in 2021.

His association with Diddy, who has been behind the successes of artists such as Usher, Mary J. Blige, and the late Notorious B.I.G, is widely seen to propel the African star to greatness.
