On the heels of their one-year anniversary since the release of their fifth studio album Midnight Train, Sauti Sol has unveiled the music video for Rhumba Japani, their current lead single featuring Bensoul, Xenia, Nviiri The Storyteller, Okello Max, and NHP.
Released on June 26, 2021, the music video showcases the group's celebratory, trap-inspired single with jazzy live instrumentation, embodying the jovial experience through vibrant visuals.
According to the group, Rhumba Japani is an ode to a Congolese band called Rhumba Japan, which they used to watch play at Simmers after their band practice till late to avoid rush hour bus fare.
The music video's release comes as the group celebrates their numerous accomplishments in the New Year, including being the ambassadors of the Infinix Note Pro10, faces and partners of the Pace Sol wireless pods, and the stars of the newly launched television show Sol Family.
As founders of Sol Generation, Sauti Sol continues to call the shots, and their Rhumba Japani music video is a testament to their creative journey.
