Actor Joseph Kinuthia, popularly known as Omosh, has found himself in hot water after appearing on a live TV interview, pleading for help from the public.
On June 25, 2021, Omosh appeared on TV47, claiming that some individuals had promised to send him money but failed to follow through on their promises.
He further stated that he had only received less than Ksh. 1,000,000, which he used to settle some debts, but now finds himself broke once again.
“Manze kama ulisema unanitumia kakitu kwani kaliendaje? Bado nategea tu. Kusema tu ukweli nilipata les than 1 million shillings nikalipa madeni, chuo ya watoi juu nilikuwa nimeka one year and four months bila kulipa. Nililipa madeni nikabaki zero, so sai madeni zinaweza kuja nikicheza…but so far chuo, hao, food…Manze mnidunge kakitu bana….Number ni 0727054141. Tuma kakitu,” he said.
Omosh also requested assistance in acquiring equipment for filming, including a camera, tripod, lights, and a microphone.
However, his plea for help did not sit well with many netizens, who accused him of being lazy and taking advantage of Kenyan generosity.
Aspiring Member of Parliament Alinur took to his Instagram page to express his disappointment, stating, “This is unbelievable. Unfortunately once I have sacrificed and helped you only to realize that you took my efforts for granted. I can never help you again! Bure kabisa,”
Others also took to social media to express their frustration, with one user writing, “But recently you were gifted land and goodies and even made a brand, what happened!!!Wewe omosh na Yule githeri man mnarudisha Kenya nyuma sana. Or all what was happening was Pr. Don’t take Kenyans sympathy for granted,”
