On June 24, 2021, Eliud Kipchoge, Kenya's world record holder, expressed his excitement about sharing his journey in a new documentary called The Last Milestone.
Produced and directed by Ridley Scott, the documentary follows Kipchoge's historic marathon achievement, where he became the first human being to clock a 42 km race in under two hours.
As seen in the 2:02 trailer, Kipchoge speaks about his milestones and marathon journey, encouraging the world to believe in their possibilities.
"In marathon, there is a lot of challenges, there is ups and downs, there is pain in training and joy at the end of the marathon. Everybody should believe in their possibilities," Kipchoge narrates in the trailer.
On October 4, 2020, Kipchoge clocked a record time of 1:59:40 in the marathon, an unofficial record that earned him the titles 'Fastest marathon distance (male)' and 'First marathon distance run under two hours' in the Guinness World Records.
Following his success, Kipchoge won the 2019 Sports Personality of the Year award and was signed by the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) as Magical Kenya destination ambassador.
