On June 24, 2021, a devastating incident shook the quiet streets of Kayole's Spring Valley area in Nairobi. A 23-year-old boy, who had been struggling with his mental health, took his own life under mysterious circumstances.

According to the boy's mother, she had just returned from the countryside, where she had been searching for land to acquire a title deed for her only son. However, she was met with a horrific sight - her son hanging in the kitchen.

The mother, visibly shaken, recounted the events leading up to her son's death. She said that she found jerry cans scattered in the kitchen, indicating that her son had been in pain and had tried to fight for his life.

The boy's close friends had expressed concerns about his mental state after he started drawing pictures that expressed sorrow. Despite these warning signs, the boy's family and friends were left reeling in shock by his sudden death.

The body was transferred to the City Mortuary, where it awaits further investigation and autopsy.
