Published on June 23, 2021, Eastleigh residents are living in fear due to the rising number of insecurity cases in the area.
Just yesterday, a middle-aged woman was robbed of her valuables at gunpoint in the morning after being ambushed by a criminal gang on Seventh Street.
According to eyewitnesses, the robbers shot into the air and fled the scene, leaving the woman shaken.
Eastleigh Residents Community Association Chairman Hussein Roba has expressed frustration with the police's efforts, stating that they are more focused on harassing those without masks rather than fighting crime in the area.
He cited the recent Hafsa kidnapping and another incident where a person was kidnapped in 3rd Street, but luckily rescued, as examples of the need for the police to take action against these gangs.
