On Thursday morning, motorists are advised to steer clear of Uhuru Highway and Thika Superhighway as the World Rally Championships (WRC) Safari Rally gets underway.
According to a notice from the Nairobi Area Traffic Commander, Joshua Omukata, the two major highways will be used by the Rally drivers after the event is flagged off at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
Motorists are asked to avoid the highways between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm, with the ceremonial flagging off by President Uhuru Kenyatta scheduled to begin at 12:45 pm.
