Tomorrow, Nairobi's major roads will experience heavy traffic for six hours to accommodate the World Rally Championship's ceremonial flag-off in Nairobi before heading to Naivasha. The disruption is expected to affect roads such as Thika Road and Uhuru Highway.

Nairobi Area Traffic Commander Joshua Omukata has urged motorists to use alternative routes between 8 am and 12 pm. He emphasized the need for vigilance during this time to avoid any incidents.

According to Omukata, the rally cars will leave the Safari Park Hotel for Kasarani Stadium around 6 am and proceed to KICC via Thika Road for the ceremonial flag-off at 8 am. After the flag-off, the first vehicle will be flagged off headed to Ngomongo, where spectators will be waiting for the actual event.

The World Rally Championship, which was postponed last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, will return to Kenya on June 24-27 after a 19-year absence.
