Kenya is gearing up to welcome back the World Racing Championship (WRC) Safari Rally after a 19-year hiatus, with President Uhuru Kenyatta assuring that the country is adequately prepared for the event.
As the rally approaches, 748 Air Services has reported an impressive 80% booking surge on its passenger flights, with Managing Director Moses Mwangi attributing the high demand to the competitive airfares offered by the airline and the anticipated event.
"We have seen an amazing increase in our flight bookings in all the routes in just one month since our launch in Kisumu, Mombasa and Diani. We are projecting that the flight bookings will continue to increase and we will be able to hit and retain more than 80 per cent," said Mwangi.
Chairman Ahmed Jibril added that the airline's goal is to make flying affordable for all Kenyans, which is a key factor in sustaining high bookings.
