On June 22, 2021, a fatal shooting occurred on Thika Highway in Ruiru, leaving one dead.
A white Subaru Forester with registration number KDC 010H was driving along the highway when unidentified gunmen opened fire, killing the driver instantly.
Witness Elisha Kamau described the incident, saying, "The gunmen shot him as he was driving along the Highway. He died on the spot."
Police were quickly dispatched to the scene, where they found a significant traffic buildup.
