Published on June 22, 2021, Buckingham Palace has launched an independent review into working practices following allegations of a 'toxic' work environment while Meghan Markle was a working royal.
The review, which was launched in March, is expected to examine the claims of bullying made against Meghan, 39, who has not yet been formally interviewed over the allegations.
According to sources, Meghan is preparing to issue a complete rebuttal of the allegations, with a 'brutal showdown' on the horizon as she fights claims she bullied two senior members of staff during her time at the palace.
Insiders close to Meghan claim she is disputing all allegations labelled against her, stating that the staff were not up to their job and could not deal with the pressure of working for her.
Buckingham Palace has said it 'does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment' and will speak to the members of staff involved 'to see if lessons can be learned'.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties a year ago to launch an independent life in the US, where they now live with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
A source close to the inquiry said: 'The feeling is this is heading for a brutal showdown between the Duchess of Sussex who is understood to be disputing all allegations labelled against her.'
