On June 21, 2021, a devastating incident occurred in Nairobi's Kangemi area when a flyover under construction suddenly collapsed.
Several people were trapped in the rubble, while four construction workers were rescued from the debris.
According to eyewitnesses, the workers on the lower side of the flyover were buried in the sand after one of the pillars and a wall collapsed.
Rescue operations are currently underway, and motorists are advised to use different routes due to a huge traffic snarl up along Waiyaki Way.
