Published on June 21, 2021, residents of Sirisia Sub County in Bungoma County have been urged to invest in Co-operative Saccos to boost their economic lives.
Kikai Rural Sacco Director Mr. Justus Wafula emphasized the importance of saving habits during the Covid-19 period, citing the numerous people visiting their offices seeking help.
Wafula urged residents to adopt a saving habit as the only way to come out of poverty, adding that his Sacco has also introduced farming projects to increase income and earn more dividends.
He appealed to the County government of Bungoma to set aside funds in its budget for Saccos at a low interest to boost their businesses.
