As of June 21, 2021, Telkom's T-kash has become a payment option on the eCitizen platform, enabling users to pay for various government services.

One such service is obtaining a Police Clearance Certificate, a process that can now be completed using T-kash.

To obtain a Police Clearance Certificate and pay with T-kash, follow these steps:

  • Log in to the eCitizen Portal at https://accounts.ecitizen.go.ke.
  • Find the Directorate of Criminal Investigations portal and click on Get Service.
  • Log in to the portal and click on Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Select the owner – either yourself or your child under 18 years of age.
  • Confirm the details of obtaining the certificate and check the payment details. The total amount is KES 1050.
  • Select the locations where your fingerprints will be obtained, including the location and exact Huduma centre.
  • Choose to pay with T-Kash by Telkom.
  • Here, you can either pay via USSD or via SIM Toolkit. The USSD code to use is 160#.
  • Once paid, hit complete and schedule a day when you'll go to the Huduma Centre to have your details picked. You will then go pick up the certificate.
