According to Dre, the deputy headmistress, Bensouda had been upset since learning she was not part of the London trip, which she believed was a result of her brother Pius's decision to include Mrs. Kandie on the list instead.
As the story goes, Bensouda had asked Dre to convince Pius to select her for the trip, but Dre had convinced him to drop her due to their differences in school.
However, Dre claims she was not responsible for dropping Bensouda and that Pius made the decision.
On the day of the incident, Bensouda arrived at the staffroom at 8:27 am and was met with a messy environment. She immediately began questioning the staff and pupils, asking them to clean the classrooms.
During the staff meeting, Bensouda confronted Dre, accusing her of not taking responsibility for the school's cleanliness and implying that she was more concerned with her London trip than with her duties at the school.
When Mrs. Atika, the teacher on duty, explained that she had informed Kuya about her delayed arrival, Bensouda sarcastically asked why she hadn't informed Dre instead.
As the confrontation escalated, Bensouda warned Dre that she would make sure she knew her place as a primary school teacher and that she would not be intimidated by her threats.
Despite the tense atmosphere, Dre remains resolute in her plans to proceed with her London trip, stating that Bensouda's actions will not deter her.
