KCB Manager Testifies in Governor Lenolkulal's Sh 84 Million Graft Case

Published on June 15, 2021, a court case has seen a Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) manager, Johnstone Kirui, produce documents showing how Oryx Service Station was paid millions since 2013.

The payments, totaling Sh 84,695,996.55, were allegedly made to the petrol station for supplying fuel to Samburu County Government.

The case involves Samburu Governor Moses Kasaine Lenolkulal, his Deputy governor Julius Lawrence Leseeto, and several other county officials, who are accused of conspiring to commit corruption and abuse of office.

Lenolkulal and the other accused officials have denied the charges and are currently out on bail.

A court hearing revealed that the alleged corruption occurred between March 27, 2013, and March 25, 2019, in Maralal town, Samburu County.
