Charles Odongo, the Rongai-based gym instructor and internet sensation known as Ugali man, has secured a lucrative deal with betting firm Odibets.
On Tuesday, Odibets unveiled Odongo as their brand ambassador, awarding him a Sh5mn debit in his bank account and a brand new seven-seater Voxy van.
As part of the partnership, Odibets will also provide Odongo with a fully kitted gym, bringing the total value of the deal to over Sh5mn. Interestingly, the package also includes a gift for his cat, Puss Puss.
Speaking during the unveiling, Odongo expressed his gratitude to Odibets for the support he had received. 'I will support my fellow youth from Rongai just the same way Odibets has supported me,' he said.
Odibets' General Manager, Dedan Mungai, stated that the partnership is part of the company's grassroots talent development initiative, Odi Mtaani. 'We believe that more funding is needed towards development of talent at the grassroots level,' Mungai said.
Odibets has invested over Sh500mn in the country, supporting various sports development initiatives, including the Kenya national soccer team, Harambee Stars, and sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala.
