Cameroon vs Ghana: AFCON 2017 Champions Share Points in Thrilling Match

On June 29, 2019, Ghana and Cameroon faced off in their second group F game at the Africa Cup of Nations, played at the Ismailia Stadium. The match ended in a 0-0 draw, with both teams sharing the spoils.

The game was a closely contested affair, with both teams creating chances and clear-cut opportunities. Ghana's Nuhu Kasim was the first to show intent, releasing a superb dipping volley that flew above the crossbar. Christian Atsu also had a chance to score, firing a thunderous strike that flew wide of the target.

Cameroon's goalkeeper Andre Onana was at his best, denying Ghana's Andrew Yiadom after he found himself up against the Cameroon keeper. The closest attempt in the game came in the dying minutes when Ghana's Owusu Kwabena gave two defenders the slip and fired for goal, only for the ball to smash against the crossbar and go out.

The draw left both teams well-placed to progress to the last 16, with Cameroon top with four points and Ghana second with two.
