June 15, 2021, marked a significant day for Tanzanian musician Diamond Platinumz as he responded to a petition filed by his fans to remove him from the BET Awards.
Contesting in the International Act category alongside Wizkid and Burna Boy, Diamond Platinumz expressed gratitude for the attention, stating that it highlights his importance in the music industry.
"I respect the opinions of everyone. If someone is happy about me, abuses me, I just give thanks. There are so many people in this world, for someone to remember you, it is God's blessings," Diamond Platinumz said.
He further emphasized that not everyone who speaks ill of him does so out of hatred, but rather might be having a bad day.
"Maybe they just woke up in a bad mood. I won't hate someone for speaking ill about me, maybe tomorrow they will regret and ask for forgiveness," Diamond Platinumz added.
Currently working on his new album, Diamond Platinumz remains focused on his music career.
