On the eve of the Tokyo Olympics, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has outlined its plan to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at the Games. The organisers expect 70-80% of news media covering the Olympics to be vaccinated, as reported in a statement on Tuesday.

Every sports delegation arriving in Japan will have a COVID liaison officer coordinating with the organisers to implement measures to stop the spread of the virus. The Games are set to start on July 23.
