Chris Kirubi, a respected businessman and media mogul, has left a lasting legacy in Kenya's corporate world.

On June 14, 2021, Kirubi succumbed to cancer at his home, surrounded by his loved ones, as announced by his family.

"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Christopher J. Kirubi (1941-2021) who passed away today, Monday the 14th of June, 2021 at 1 pm at his home after a long battle with cancer fought with fortitude, grace and courage. He was surrounded by his family," they stated.

Kirubi had been battling cancer since 2018, after receiving the diagnosis during a routine medical check-up.

As a successful entrepreneur, Kirubi was the owner of several prominent businesses, including Vipingo Business Park, Ridge, Two Rivers Mall, and Capital FM.
