A family in Kathima, Igembe South, is embroiled in a bitter feud over a son's alleged assault on his father.
According to reports, Jadiel Kaberia, a resident of the area, was allegedly assaulted by his son, who was later released from Kangeta G.K prison after serving a week-long sentence.
The son, who is in his 60s, allegedly assaulted his father with a mokoro, a type of traditional African paddle.
The father's wife and junior family members have come out in support of the son, alleging that the father had been mistreating him.
The family's mother, Eunice Nkatha, has accused the father of being responsible for the son's behavior, citing instances of physical and emotional abuse.
She claims that the son was forced to defend himself against his father's aggression, which has led to the current feud.
The family's neighbors have also been drawn into the conflict, with some accusing the father of being a troublemaker who has been causing problems in the community.
