On June 12, 2021, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) made a bold move in the transfer market by offering Gini Wijnaldum a salary more than double what Barcelona had offered.

According to sources, PSG's offer was so enticing that Wijnaldum is now open to accept their proposal, leaving Barcelona's plans in jeopardy.

This is not the first time PSG has hijacked a player signed by Barcelona, and it seems they are willing to do it again.

With the official decision expected in the next few hours, it remains to be seen whether Barcelona will raise their bid to keep Wijnaldum at Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa is set to complete the signing of Emiliano Buendía from Norwich City for a reported €35m fee.
