403 Test Positive to Covid-19 as 18 Succumb

Kenya has recorded 403 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 5,577 tested in the last 24 hours, as of June 12, 2021.

The total confirmed positive cases now stand at 175,176, with a positivity rate of 7.2%.

Out of the new cases, 399 are Kenyans and 4 are foreigners.

The cases comprise 215 males and 188 females, with the youngest being a one-year-old baby and the oldest being 97 years old.

Unfortunately, 18 people have succumbed to the disease, with one death occurring in the last 24 hours and 17 reported after conducting Facility Record Audits on diverse dates in May and June.

This brings the cumulative fatalities to 3,396, with new deaths by age ranging from 0-9 years to 60 years and above.
