Published on June 12, 2021, SportPesa has been supporting grassroot football in Kenya through its Kits for Africa program.

The gaming company has distributed kits to 33 teams in Uasin Gishu county, including Chepkwoyo Women Fc, Fulcom Women FC, and Chepkanga FC, among others.

According to SportPesa Public Relations Manager Lola Okulo, football remains a key project under the company's operations, and they are keen to support budding talent in the field.

“Football remains a key project under our operations and we are keen to support those who want to nurture their talent in this field. Kits for Africa is one of the many ways we want to prop up budding talent and we plan to continue doing this in the long-term,” said Okulo.

The Kits for Africa initiative encourages football communities abroad to donate their old kit to under-privileged grassroot teams across Africa, with over 50,000 kits collected and passed on to football-loving communities in Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, and other countries.

As part of the company's pledge to transform lives through sports, SportPesa has been operating the campaign for six years, building and developing grassroot football in the process.
