Published on June 29, 2019, Nairobi News reported that Strabag International, a German company, had employed Austrian national Jurgen Hinteregger, who fled the country amid accusations of racial abuse.
Hinteregger was questioned by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) over allegations of mistreating and physically abusing his employers at Strabag International.

She stated, “We don’t want to judge anyone until we have a clear picture based on evidence.”
Neumueller also highlighted that all employees are required to comply with the company’s Code of Conduct, which fosters respect and equal opportunities regardless of race and nationality.
