Residents in Nairobi's Umoja 2 area staged a protest against the demolition of their business premises.
More than 90 youths, mostly artisans, carpenters, and mechanics, claim their businesses were demolished without any prior notice.
The youth suspect foul play, citing the lack of branded NMS bulldozers and blocked number plates on the demolition vehicles.
"We are suspecting foul play here. Because if it is NMS that was conducting demolitions here, then we would be having bulldozers branded NMS," the youth cried.
They have accused area MCA Joseph Ouma Ndonji of failing to protect them from the illegal demolitions, alleging that he is colluding with landgrabbers.
"Our MCA is colluding with people who are frustrating us. Why is he not defending us? Has he been paid by the landgrabber?" they posed.
