Kamene Goro, the popular radio presenter, has landed a new job at KISS FM alongside Andrew Kibe, her former co-host at NRG Radio. However, their first show on July 1 at the Waiyaki Way-based media house was put on hold after they were served with court papers.

The lawsuit, filed by NRG Radio, claims that Kamene Goro breached a three-month non-compete clause she signed with the station. The clause prohibits her from working with any competitor for a specified period.

On social media, Kamene Goro expressed her disappointment and frustration with the situation. In a video, she said:

"Hardwork and humanity are two things I always pray for. I always pray that God maintains them in me because that’s the best of me. My humanity, my heart and my hard work ethic."

She added:

"It’s been a tough couple of days. I didn’t see any of these coming. but I just keep on saying where is the humanity? I’ve been taken to court. It’s now public knowledge. An injunction has been slapped on me. I’m not supposed to go on air, so what guys? How am I supposed to work? Where do I earn my living from? my career, my future.."

Her followers have been reacting to the news, with some offering words of encouragement and support. Others have questioned her decision to leave NRG Radio without giving adequate notice.
