May 11, 2021 - In a bold move, a Kenyan entrepreneur has brought a traditional beverage called mrambe to the UK market, targeting the growing demand for unique and exotic drinks.

King'ori Wambaki, a native of Othaya, has successfully launched mrambe in the UK, capitalizing on its unique flavor and cultural significance.

According to reports, mrambe has been recognized as a traditional custom of the Sapere people, with a 2018 court ruling by Magistrate D N Musyoka confirming its legitimacy.

The beverage, which has an alcohol concentration of 12%, is marketed towards customers under the age of 35, and has gained popularity among locals and expatriates alike.

High Commissioner of Kenya to the UK, Manoah Esipisu, has confirmed the launch of mrambe in London, citing its unique design and flavor profile as key factors in its success.
