On Monday, the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results were released, and private schools in the coastal region are rejoicing over their students' impressive performances.

Among the top-performing schools was Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed secondary School, where student Asia Abubakar Ali scored an A with 82 points.

"My parents and teachers supported me a lot, I am happy to be the top student in my school. My aim was to study medicine in the University," she said.

Deputy Principal Shaikh Rashid Rajab credited the good results to hard work and a good relationship between learners and teachers, despite the disruptions caused by COVID-19.

"We had a good relationship between parents, learners, and teachers, that is why we performed well, this is despite the disruptions caused by COVID-19," he said.

Another standout student was 16-year-old Jaden Angella from Alliance girls high School, who scored A- with 82 points.

Angela attributed her success to hard work and dedication, and expressed her dream of becoming a neurosurgeon when she goes to university.

Her father, Amigo Nobert, expressed satisfaction with her performance, saying she is a go-getter and a hard worker.
