Kenya High School has made history by emerging as the top-performing school in the 2020 KCSE exams, with a remarkable mean score of 10.46.

Out of 315 candidates, an impressive 76 managed to secure As, while the school also produced 7 out of the 15 top positions in the exam.

Among the top performers was Esther Wachuchu, who scored an A plain of 87 points and was one of the seven students from Kenya High in the top 15.

Wachuchu, who is the second-born in a family of five, expressed her gratitude and surprise at her outstanding performance, saying, 'I knew for sure that I would do well, just not this well.'

Her mother, who was overjoyed by her daughter's achievement, attributed it to the school's encouragement and support during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic.

She said, 'We told them the Covid-19 pandemic is not specific for them and that life would go back to normal. We also encouraged them to work hard.'

Wachuchu's mother added, 'She performed beyond our expectations, we are honoured as parents.'
