On May 11, 2021, Israel's military launched a series of retaliatory strikes against Gaza, targeting 130 military installations belonging to Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
According to Israeli army spokesman Jonathan Conricus, the strikes resulted in the deaths of 15 operatives affiliated with the two militant groups.
Conricus stated, "We have struck 130 military targets belonging mostly to Hamas," in a press briefing.
