Published on May 11, 2021, the Lamu Port in South Sudan is poised to transform the cargo transportation landscape in the region.
Unlike the current route that passes through Uganda, the new port will enable South Sudan to transport cargo directly, reducing transit times and costs.
The Lamu Port is expected to have a significant impact on Mombasa Harbour, which has been the primary entry point for cargo in the region.
