Kisii School Makes History with 100% University Placement

On May 10, 2021, Education CS George Magoha released the KCSE 2020 results, marking a significant milestone in the education sector.

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, a total of 747,121 candidates sat for the examination between March 26 and April 21, 2021.

Among the top-performing schools was Riokindo High School in Kisii county, where all 268 candidates secured university placements with a mean grade of 9.3333.

The school's impressive performance was attributed to 17 candidates with A-, 99 with B+, 111 with B plain, 36 with B-, and 5 with C+.

At the national level, 143,140 candidates scored C+ and above, a testament to the resilience and determination of the students.

Education CS George Magoha expressed his optimism, assuring all candidates that they would be absorbed into various institutions of learning, including universities, colleges, and TVET institutions.

“All candidates have a place in our education story,” CS Magoha noted.
