Released on May 10, 2021, the 2020 KCSE examination results saw Simiyu Robinson Wanjala from Murang'a High School emerge as the top candidate.
Wanjala scored an impressive A plain with a mean grade of 87.334 points, making him the best performer in the 2020 KCSE exams.
He was closely followed by Wasonga Allan Odoma from Agoro Sare High School, who also scored A plain with 87.73 points.
Sharon Chepng'eno from Kenya High School took the third spot with an A plain of 87.173 points.
Education CS George Magoha announced that a total of 893 students scored A plain in the 2020 KCSE exams, marking an improvement from the previous year.
Magoha noted that the number of students who attained the C+ and above grade increased to 143,121, compared to 125,000 in 2019.
Out of the 747,167 students who sat for the KCSE exams, approximately 380,000 were males and over 360,000 were females.
