Kenya's betting industry is witnessing a significant shift towards online platforms, with BangBet Kenya at the forefront. The company has launched a series of training programs aimed at onboarding affiliates who will play a crucial role in driving the service closer to sports lovers who wish to wager on team performances.
According to Statista's research, revenue from affiliate marketing programs has experienced a 10% annual growth since 2015, with projections indicating a continued impressive trend until at least 2022.
Speaking during a training program for 102 agents, BangBet Kenya Marketing Director Mr. Kelvin Maundu emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “We are providing our affiliates with a perfect opportunity to earn an extra coin or two especially during these tough times when people have lost jobs. These training clinics are aimed at bringing them up to speed with all the products the company has and also share on ideas they can use to reach more potential clients.”
Notably, affiliate marketing is a rapidly growing global industry, with a worth of over $12 billion in 2018. Africa is also catching up, with Kenyans finding new ways to make extra cash amidst the economic challenges posed by COVID-19.
BangBet's Partner Program pays its partners a commission once they onboard a customer, with affiliates earning a one-off fee of up to Ksh. 20 per user who signs up and places a bet on the BangBet platform, as well as a lifetime commission of 15% on revenue generated from each invited user.
