Kenyan smartphone enthusiasts, rejoice! Oppo has finally brought its latest A-series devices to the local market. The Oppo A54 and Oppo A74 are now available for purchase across the country.

First announced globally in March and April, these devices have been highly anticipated by fans of the brand. As their model numbers suggest, the A74 is the more advanced of the two.

One of the key differences between the two devices is their processors. The Oppo A74 boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, while the Oppo A54 relies on a MediaTek Helio P35 chip. This translates to improved performance and efficiency for the A74.

Another notable difference is the amount of memory each device offers. The Oppo A74 comes with 6GB of RAM, while the Oppo A54 has 4GB. This means that the A74 can handle more demanding tasks and multitasking with ease.

When it comes to charging, the Oppo A74 has a 33W Flash Charge, while the Oppo A54 makes do with 18W fast charging. This is a significant difference, especially for users who need to top up their devices quickly.

Display-wise, the Oppo A74 has a Full HD display, while the Oppo A54 has a HD+ panel. This means that the A74 offers a more immersive viewing experience.

Both devices have similar internal storage (128GB) and battery capacity (5,000mAh). They also share the same 16-megapixel front camera. However, the Oppo A74's rear camera is more advanced, featuring a 48-megapixel main sensor and two 2-megapixel depth and macro sensors.

The Oppo A74 is priced at Kshs 29,000 and comes in Prism Black and Midnight Blue colours. The Oppo A54, on the other hand, is priced at Kshs 22,000 and available in Crystal Black and Starry Blue colour options.

According to Oppo, the A54 has an IPX4 rating, making it resistant to water splashes from any direction.

Both devices are now available for purchase through authorized vendors across the country.
