On May 10, 2021, police in Kirinyaga County made a significant arrest in the Gichugu area, detaining 15 students who were found intoxicated at a rental house.
According to Antony Mbogo, the area Police Boss, the officers discovered a carton containing six bottles of Ice vodka, with four of them empty, as well as condoms and gambling cards.
The seized items will be used as exhibits in court, and among the arrested students were three female students found in a room at Mucangara Trading Centre.
The students, from various secondary schools, were supposed to report to school on Monday but were instead taken into custody at Kianyaga Police Station and will be arraigned in Gichugu Law Courts later that day.
