Published on May 10, 2021, a Tuskys Supermarket employee has been accused of robbing a cashier of Sh. 320,000 at the retailer's Karasha branch along Kenyatta Avenue in Nairobi.

The employee allegedly brandished a knife to the cashier before making off with the cash, which was part of the day's collection.

According to the police, the incident occurred at around 7pm, but the CCTV server at the supermarket had been destroyed, and the incident was not captured by surveillance cameras.

Despite the destruction of the CCTV server, the police are investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made so far.

This is the latest in a series of incidents involving employees at the retailer, who have previously gone rogue to get their salaries.

As reported in November last year, fed-up employees resorted to paying themselves from the supermarket's cash tills due to the retailer's struggles to pay its workers.
